Meet Mojo!
Mojo is an American Kennel Club (AKC) certified Yellow Labrador Retriever (#SS36315710) born September 2, 2022. He is currently in training for the AKC recognized Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program and is also registered with the U.S. Service and Support Animals program (#ES-4064508).
A therapy dog is a specially trained dog that provides comfort, affection, and support to people in various settings. Unlike service dogs, which are trained to assist individuals with disabilities for a specific job under the A.D.A. (Americans with Disabilities Act), therapy dogs are trained to provide emotional support and companionship to people in need. They can help reduce stress, anxiety, and loneliness, and their presence often brings joy and comfort to those they interact with. Therapy dogs undergo specific trainings to meet certain criteria that ensure that they are well behaved, calm, and able to handle various environments and interactions with people.
